Windsor Middle School, Windsor CO

Windsor Middle School has a student attending next year who is diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome(*)  and would need quick access to an AED at school. The AED would support the student with the heat condition and also add another safety factor to our school, staff and students in general.

Kick Start My Heart received the $500 "Pay It Forward" donation from Windsor Middle School in July 2008 and we will implement an AED in this facility as soon as possible, most likely in September!!

(*) LQTS is a heart condition associated with prolongation of repolarization (recovery) following depolarization (excitation) of the cardiac ventricles. It is associated with syncope (fainting) and sudden death due to ventricular arrhythmias.
