Vantage Point High School, Thornton, CO
Date of Placement: Apr 15 2010Vantage Point High School is a high school of choice serving the needs of alternative students in Adams 12 Five Star Schools. Their mission is to develop young people not only academically but also affectively so that they may become productive, healthy, ethical and successful citizens who are prepared for post-secondary education and/or the workforce.
At any time, the school building population is between 20-100 people ranging from age 6 to adults, between regular school activities, after-school clubs and sports, community groups (such as YMCA, JAM basketball, etc). In good conscience the school would like to err on the side of safety for all their students, staff and community members and implement and AED in their facility.
Kick Start My Heart received the $750 "Pay It Forward" donation from Vantage Point High School in April 2009 and we implemented an AED in this facility in April 2010. The donation was made possible through a generous $3,000 Hero's Table donation from North Metro Firefighters Union for the Sweet Hearts Ball in February 2010.
