Strasburg Elementary School, Strasburg, CO

Strasburg Elementary School serves over 500 students from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, plus teachers are support staff. Additionally, the AED will also be used to protect other community members who use the school facilities for events such as Mountain View Church service (500 members, all ages), Get Active exercise nights (all ages) and many other events such as library.

The school is located in a small rural farming community so the medical service consists mainly of volunteers. Having an AED onsite could mean the difference between life and death in terms of response time to a sudden cardiac arrest.  

Kick Start My Heart received the $750 "Pay It Forward" donation from Strasburg Elementary School in May 2011 and we implemented an AED in this facility in August 2011!
