Kick Start My Heart 2008

Our fourth successful soccer fund raiser event!! Event day was a lot of fun with appearances from Colorado Rapids mascot, Edson the Eagle, in addition to a camera crew from Channel 7 News!! Our first TV coverage for the foundation aired during the sports report on Saturday night!!

Over $4,500 was collected on the event day itself, with more to follow from the silent auction and other donations still to come; we will end up with total donations of $6,500-$7,500 raised from the event. Thanks to everyone who supported the event again this year and it was wonderful to receive so much positive feedback about our continued efforts to make a difference in the local community!! THANK YOU!

Additionally, we received two donated AED units – one donated by long time partners Philips & HeartSmart, and one donated by ZOLL Data Systems. The Philips donation will be implemented into Horizons K-8 School, Boulder. The ZOLL Data Systems donation will be implemented into Colorado Springs Christian School.

The foundation continues to receive 'Pay It Forward' donations from all our AED placement partners, and are seeking other additional donations to continue to progress through our waiting list! All in all, a great event and the donations continue to roll in! J
