First Life Saved with Kick Start My Heart AED!! :)

Kick Start My Heart are very excited and proud to confirm the very first life saving incident involving an Automated External Defibrillator placed through our foundation!! On July 16 this year, Karl Ray, an engineer and soccer referee from Colorado Springs was saved using CPR and a Kick Start My Heart AED placed with the Colorado Rush Soccer Club. Century & Counting!! 100+ AEDs Now Placed!!

Everyone at Kick Start My Heart are very proud to confirm that we have now placed our 100th lifesaving Automated External Defibrillator (AED) into Colorado schools and sports facilities!! A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has attended an event, helped plan an event and contributed to the cause over the last 6 years! Your time and money has made a great positive impact on the local community.

5,000 to 7,000 children and young adults die nationwide each year from sudden cardiac arrest
300,000 people die in the US from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) every year, killing more than HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and lung cancer combined.
Survival rates can jump from 5% to nearly 75% with availability of a Automated External Defibrillator within 3 minutes of collapse
